Principal's Welcome Letter

Principal's Welcome Letter

Dear Parent/Guardian:

I hope that you and your family are enjoying your summer and having fun!  Back at school, we are getting ready for the 2022 – 2023 school year.

When our students return to school on Monday, August 29, our teachers will be ready to greet them and provide new, exciting school experiences.  As always, we look forward to getting to know each and every child, meeting their academic needs, and challenging them to be the best they can be.

We will continue to implement the School Wide Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (SWPBIS) program.  Students will learn how to be respectful, responsible, and kind in the classroom, hallway, bathroom, cafeteria, at recess, and on the bus.  These expectations will be explicitly taught to students by their teachers during the first two weeks of school.  Once again this year, students will have the opportunity to earn reinforcements for their positive behavior.  The behavioral data collected through discipline reports helps us track behavior patterns in various environments and re-teach expectations as necessary.  We appreciate your efforts at home to support this endeavor.

On Thursday, August 25, families may visit the school between 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. to meet the teacher and drop off school supplies in the classroom.

Back to School Night will be on Thursday, September 15 from 5:30 – 7:00 p.mThis will be an informational session for parents only.

Have a great rest of the summer, and I’m looking forward to seeing you all soon!

Sincerely,

Scott Davis, Principal
