Dear Parent/Guardian:

I hope this communication finds you well!  At school, we are getting ready for the 2021 – 2022 school year.  We will make every effort to transition your child(ren) back to a safe, nurturing school environment.  As per the board’s approval of our Health & Safety plan on June 16 and the governor’s lifting of the masking order on June 28, students are no longer required to wear a mask in school but may choose to do so.  However, as per the PA Department of Education, students are required to wear a mask on the bus.

When our students return to school on Monday, August 30, our teachers will be ready to greet them and provide a positive school experience.  As always, we look forward to getting to know each and every child, meeting their academic and social/emotional needs, and challenging them to be the best they can be.

We will continue to implement the School Wide Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (SWPBIS) program.  Students will learn how to be respectful, responsible, and kind in the classroom, hallway, bathroom, cafeteria, at recess, and on the bus.  These expectations will be explicitly taught to students by their teachers during the first few weeks of school.  Once again this year, students will have the opportunity to earn reinforcements for their positive behavior.  The behavioral data collected through discipline reports helps us track behavior patterns in various environments and re-teach expectations as necessary.  We appreciate your efforts at home to support this endeavor.

Below is a list of supplies which will be required for your student’s grade level whether they will be attending face-to-face or participating in the Palisades Cyber Academy.
